La dudosa vida de Sexto Empírico

Abstract

En el presente escrito intentamos esclarecer y profundizar los distintos problemas y teorías vigentes en torno a la existencia real del autor conocido como Sexto Empírico. Esto es importante para quien en un futuro cercano prevea una lectura atenta y detallada de su obra. Los resultados, aun cuando provisorios, nos sugerirán elementos biográficos determinantes que estimamos podrán ser de utilidad para futuras investigaciones en el campo así como para lectores adentrados en el ejercicio de la lectura de la filosofía de este escéptico.In the present paper we attempt to clarify and to deepen the different problems and the current theories about the real existence of the author known as Sextus Empiricus. The results, although preliminary, will suggest us decisive biographical elements that we deem that will be not only of utility for future researches on the field but also of help for advanced readers and their interpretation exercise of the philosophy of this skeptic.
