This article analyzes the International Women's Strike (IWS) as a struggle tradition peculiar to the New Feminist Wave. In order to do so, the article is divided in two parts. In the first one, we review #8M 2017 building at an international level, paying special attention to the process in Argentina. In the second part, we analyze the relationship between the strike as an articulation instance at a global level and the context of capitalist crisis in which the New Feminist Wave arises, taking into account three elements: a) the inscription of the women's movement in the group of social movements that have emerged in the heat of the crisis since 2008; b) the crisis of social reproduction as a specific aspect of the capitalist crisis that places "women's work" in the center of the scene; c) the centrality of women in "the class that lives from work" and their character as bridges between production and reproduction.
