There are many ways of giving testimony, one of them being cinematic storytelling.Testimonies have become part of the vocabularies of documentary and Art-House film. Both varietiespermit storytelling that erodes at the official version of History. They give room to tell singular stories that go against the grainof fictions stereotyped by political and cultural interests.Art-House films, which are the subject of this current article, not only eschew the demands of commercial film, but also border on the realm of the autobiography which is, without a doubt, a testimony and lieu de mémoire for a generation of women. This work explores the above topics through an analysis of the early work of María Luisa Bemberg as expressed in her films: Crónica de una señora, Momentos, Señora de nadie.
