Violencia(s): Multiplicidad, legitimidad y regulación

Abstract

Proponemos una reflexión sobre las violencias. Afirmamos que la definición de la violencia es un campo de disputa donde la legitimidad de acciones y representaciones se dirimen entre diferentes actores con posiciones de poder diferenciadas. Por lo tanto, es necesario reflexionar sobre qué se define cómo violencia y qué no. Nos interesa, entonces, analizar la multiplicidad de formas de la violencia y las disputas por su definición. Para ello, abordaremos las variadas facetas de la violencia institucional, con el objeto de dar cuenta de sus relaciones, de sus criterios de definición y las formas estatales de regulación.We propose a reflection on violence. We affirm that the definition of violence is a field of dispute where the legitimacy of actions and representations is settled between different actors with different positions of power. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect on what is defined as violence and what is not. We are interested, then, in analyzing the multiplicity of forms of violence and the disputes over their definition. To do this, we will address the various facets of institutional violence, in order to account for their relationships, their definition criteria and state forms of regulation.
