This article arises from a project that aimed to create art and play spaces, for expression and reflection on the experiences and realities of children and adolescents from western neighborhoods of the City of Mendoza, Argentina. Our intention was to promote a critical view on their realities and to act as social actors capable of transforming it. It is based on field notes made after the meetings, on the artistic productions and on photographs that captured the experience. The activities that we develop allowed the protagonism of children and adolescents, a sector of the community that is often silenced. We consider that group game and collective art allow us to transform social ties to the extent that each and every one ceases to be considered an isolated individual who must face their reality separately, to become part of a whole, establishing ties of interdependence and mutual collaboration. In this way we are building our way of understanding, living and organizing community life, as an alternative to individualistic society.
