Remote Laboratories (RL) are transforming science education by facilitating more inclusive, accessible, flexible, and safe learning environments. In chemistry, experimentation is essential for understanding phenomena and developing scientific skills (SS). This research analyzes the scientific production on RL in chemistry education through a systematic review of four databases, following the PRISMA protocol. Out of 111 initial documents, 32 were analyzed using VOSviewer® and a customized GPT®. Over the past six years, RL-related publications have increased, with a notable presence in Latin America and Europe, particularly in Analytical Chemistry. While 59.4% of the articles mention the development of SS, only 18.8% measure them. The analyzed studies present significant advances in the use of RL; however, limitations remain in the systematic evaluation of SS. Future research is recommended to incorporate robust assessment methodologies and innovative instructional proposals aimed at optimizing the pedagogical impact of RL in chemistry education.
