The present work is the product of a research that, based on a theoretical framework and a methodology based on the qualitative paradigm (Bryman, 1988; Maxwell, 1996), will integrate the collection of various data collection and analysis techniques (Valles, 2000) for the purpose of inquiring about the construction of the subjectivity of prison officials in Argentina. In this article we will present the way in which some elements of the Penitentiary Discourse interpellate prision officials since notions of security and order and how to comply with said demands involves naturalization, rutinization and excercise of violent practices.
