The central Andean valleys are an extraordinary systemic complex and essential for those provinces that make up the Cuyo region. Within them are originated the water resources that give support to the populations of western Argentina, whose landscapes condense natural and cultural resources of heritage value, forming regional oases. Their distinctive characteristics are currently threatened by the struggle of interests of those actors that are linked to them. Consequently, it is proposed to advance in the organization of a management tool that integrates both governmental, academic institutions and productive, social ones that allow the analysis and record of those tense aspects from a systemic view and approach. This contributes to define action strategies, promoting the conservation of landscape of heritage value as a resource for a sustainable local and regional development.
