The objective of this text is to show the way in which the indigenous identities and the State dynamics have crossed in the province of Misiones, especially in relation with the school formation. For this purpose we employ a series of up to date statistical data concerning demographical matters, comparing them with some previous figures, to contextualize them. These data, and at the same time the complete document, will be understood in the light of different ethnographic field work instances that we developed in the province of Misiones which has been characterized by the cohabitation and long permanence of nucleus of the guarani mbyá community which presents different levels of relationship with the State and its dynamics. In the framework of the already mentioned field work, several specific interviews were applied with referents, bilingual auxiliaries, teachers, boys and girls. Here we will employ, especially resources developed in the years 2006 and 2008 in a nucleus located in the Municipio General San Martín, in the west center of the province, bounded with Paraguay.
