The research analyzes the public debate of the stroke that in 2010 led to coma and in 2014 to death to the musician Gustavo Cerati. We rebuild the public plot of a death in which the senses usually granted to die were placed under debate, while the interactions of the musician in a coma caused differing interpretations and the need to legislate on death “with dignity" was discussed publicly. The research is based on a large corpus of printed media publications and television programs, revised for the moment Cerati's death, in September 2014, and retrospectively to the moment stroke, in 2010. We also carry out observations and interviews at the funeral and burial of the singer's body.
