This article presents the results of a recently completed investigation on teaching in middle schools in contexts of inequality since the COVID-19 emergency. In particular, here we present the multiple facets and dimensions that teachers and directors of secondary level institutions display to teach and produce socio-educational inclusion on a daily basis at the secondary level. The sustained hypothesis is that these characteristics expose how the subjectivities of teachers and principals are affected, producing performative effects that constitute them as managerial subjects or managers in school daily life. In theoretical terms, we stick to the contributions of studies about governmentality in their intertwining with philosophy and sociology of education. The methodological design assumes a mainly qualitative and descriptive approach through an information production strategy that includes the georeferencing of school enrollment, conducting ethnographic interviews and recording observations of daily life within the framework of prolonged stays in two public middle schools of the Buenos Aires suburbs. In relation to the results, they express that in their becoming as managerial subjects, teachers and directors become and school between the margins established by the management and performance discourses, managing what is 'own' but also seeking to manage what others have.
