In a previous study has developed a proposal for the techno-morphological analysis of artifacts of granite recovered from the site Corralon of Floresta to detect discriminant patterns in the assemblage (urban historic stone). In the present work, arises a new actualistic study starting from experimentation in the production of paving stones. It was carried out from the observation of an experienced carver while producing these artifacts. The aim is to describe the techniques used and in turn may characterize the waste produced by these practice and then recovered in comparison with the archaeological record, for thus able to distinguish whether they belong or not products of the same practice: the formatting and regularization of paving stones / curbs.
