In this paper we will trace the link between history, oblivion and the national and popular in the speeches of Arturo Frondizi in order to present interpretative notes on the way in which he participated in the discussions of his time. To this end, we will pay particular attention to the Amnesty Law passed during his presidency. Based on Frondizi’s uses of the past, we are interested in showing how, by addressing the relationship between history, oblivion and the popular national, we can approach the way in which Frondizi intervened discursively within the framework of the de-peronization of Argentine society.
