This paper reflects some experiences in the use of digital tools in order to carry out the first approaches to the field during the context of isolation and social distancing decreed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, some considerations on the digital ethnography contributions are briefly reintroduced so then explain how work was made in a virtual space from a double approach: a) as a way to connect with others through video call applications, and b) as a source to inquire into the communications developed by the Ministry of Public Health of Misiones and one of the public hospitals of Posadas city on Diabetes Mellitus. Thus, exploring the digital space made it possible to have the first approaches to speeches on Diabetes, as well as highlighted the necessary reflect on ways of bounding people and technologies, and the different procedures of carrying out anthropological research.
