This article analyzes the working conditions of stonecutter workers in Córdoba during the first decades of the 20th century. The main sources are the specifications published in newspapers, where the multiple claims made by the stonecutting unions were recorded. The stone industry in Córdoba presented unique characteristics in the ways of work and life of its workers, among them, we analyzed the plantation model of exploitation in the quarries. The general hypothesis of this work maintains that the conflict in the stone-cutting world reveals the multiple inequalities that the workers experienced, where they not only sustained a salary claim, but their demands were crossed by many others such as access to housing, health and treatment with the employer.
