In this article we present a theoretical analytical model to study the contentious repertoires in socio-productive systems. We are focused on identifying the variables involved in the selection and implementation of action’s perfomances by the actors in conflict. The working hypothesis holds that the experience of struggle of those who come into confrontation along with the power resources available, determines the modalities that collective action assumes. In order to test the built model, we address two case studies: the urban passenger trains of the Metropolitan Region of Buenos Aires (RMBA) and the oil company YPF in the Neuquina basin. The analysis of the contentious dimension is based on catalogues of own-made events built based on the systematic survey of the national and local press that allowed to recognize the main axes of confrontation and forms of collective expression.
