This paper will try to show the main characteristics of a renewed economic historiography that embraces a very wide spectrum of problems, not only for this paper but also for different spaces across Latin America and the World, where new and old subjects have triggered more complex perspectives, and in recent years more engaged with the problems and demands of the present society, that undoubtedly allow to foresee the possibility for Economic History to regain the position that it once had in academic spaces and in the explanation of historical processes. Inside this broader panorama, there is no doubt that a great eclecticism, conceptual as well as methodological, has characterized the historiographical productions of the last years, but it also has given place to an evident fragmentation of the research fields. Possibly, today a new phenomenon is shown.
