The proposal of this work is to approach a sample of stories belonging to the science fiction anthology compiled by Rodrigo Bastidas, El tercer mundo después del sol, and carry out a reading whose axis will be the body. This anthology has the particularity of being one of the few editorial bets to shape a contemporary panorama of Latin American science fiction. The compilation achieves a variety in the works that allows us to glimpse features of the genre in our region. Far from continuing to wonder about the supposed technological delay and the impossibility of a science fiction in Latin America, the anthology shows that there is an abundant and very particular production. For what we are interested in proposing in this work, we will focus especially on the treatment that this literature makes of bodies, in connection with the ideas of posthumanism. We will do it in a series of stories that seeks to show variety in the origin of its authors.
