Cities generate site conditions and lead to a particular type of local climate which is the urban climate. Their morphology might influence the distribution of precipitation values. Therefore, the aim of this research is to analyze the spatial variation in the amounts of rain in Bahía Blanca during the period May 2008 –December 2009. Rainfall was measured from 11 sampling stations installed in urban areas and the synoptic situations of each precipitation event were analyzed. The distribution in the city of the rainfall totals showed that the highest values were registered in the area of higher elevation, North-Northeast. The front weather conditions were the most common. However, stormy weather conditions were responsible for the most significant spatial differentiation.
