Osvaldo Lamborghini is one of the critical writers of 20th-century Argentine literature. He wrote only one novel, Tadeys, which is, not coincidentally, the swan song of his written work. Exiled in Barcelona, after this book, his production will turn towards an unspecific writing that hybridizes the languages of plastic and objectual art. This article focuses on the liminal space that Tadeys occupies in Lamborghini's corpus, conceptualizing it as a non-novel, as a negation of the novelistic genre, a rejection of the organic form wielded as a life-giving affirmation that is a policy of artistic praxis, and also as a commitment to the non-veiling, that is, not to hide, not to cover, not to attenuate the veils that structure, phantasmatic, social relations. Later, this article works with the figure of the creature, which, without implying the negative valence of the monstrous, confronts the indeterminate and resists nomination. Finally, the different materialities will be approached: that of the non-novel, the textual, and the corporeal ones of the creatures.
