This article investigates the ethnicity of Peruvian workers in the city of Buenos Aires, working whit the ways in which the ethnic solidarity takes concrete form. More specifically, it describes how these migrants use their ethnic solidarity to seek and obtain work and housing, and how are the jobs and housing that workers obtain as a result of their ethnic solidarity. The article suggests that Peruvian workers, because of their ethnicity, avoid social descent and make their lives not only a consequence of class racialization. It uses in-depth interviews and participant observation, both carried out between 2019 and 2021.
