We consider that it is important to deepen the knowledge of the link that is forged between the employee and the employer to make their practices visible, given that the conglomerate of Santiago del Estero-La Banda is where the largest number of domestic employees of the province is concentrated (second place in the country, after Formosa), and taking into account that this is one of the most feminized jobs in the labor market in Santiago, presenting very high rates of informality and precariousness. Through a qualitative study based on in-depth interviews with domestic service employers and with employees, we intend to study dimensions such as hiring methods, determination of salaries, distribution of tasks and the selection criteria for domestic staff.
