The dynamics of cables for high voltage electricity transmission can be studied by means of the representation through mathematical models of diverse complexity under linear or non-linear conceptions. The cable models have a set of variable parameters with an associated uncertainty, based on the use of statistical methods. For its evaluation, uncertain parameters are adopted, and a technique called Probabilistic Parametric Approach is usually used, which contemplates the use of the Monte Carlo method. The mathematical model used is that of a string in a plane, considering nonlinear effects. They are considered as random variables with a defined distribution, to the different properties of the conductor and the external forcing terms. An approximation of the mathematical model is used, discretized within a general solver based on the finite element method. The responses are calculated for various orders of variability of the parameters.
