This paper analyzes the so called “creative labor and culturepreneurship” within the creative industries, through the case of independent music production in Argentina. Th enotion of creative labor, increasingly used by Latin America governments, tends to reproduce an individualistic view of creativity which contributes to sustain autonomous forms of labor of “culturepreneurship” as appropiate for creative industries growth. At the same time, it obstructs there cognition of work relationships within it and, consequently, of the working class condition of those who work there as such. The aim of this paper is to discuss working conditions of creative labor within the frame of the advance of outsourcing and productive restructuring of capital on creative industries while, in doing so, it unknows workers rights and neglect them as such, with the purpose to recognize culture production, and music in particular, as a valid field for analyzing labor world changes today
