In the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional face-to-face university education suffered an abrupt rethinking, especially that of sciences based on the development and acquisition of psycho-motor skills specific to each discipline, such as Chemistry, Medicine, Dentistry, to name a few. In this context and given that Chemistry is an experimental science, General Chemistry’s Chair of the Faculty of Engineering of the UNSa, quickly reformulated the laboratory practices, with the main objective that students can apply theoretical concepts in everyday situations (home experiences) that allowed them to experience, “visualize” and make chemistry “tangible”. The students’ response, their participation and the opinions regarding this proposal allow us to conclude that this initiative not only achieved its objective but it is a stimulating tool that can be complementary to the traditional ones and worthy of being deepened.
