This paper presents an experience of Extension Curricularization through the optional subject-matter Law with Social Orientation, taught during the first four-month period of 2023 at the Law School of the National University of Córdoba. First, we consider Law a discipline inserted in a legal field with specific rules, capitals, and discussions (Bourdieu, 2000) reflected in a traditional teaching model rooted in legal codes. In this sense, the extension practice has a disruptive potential to address legal issues, promoting new ways of learning, evaluation, and construction of knowledge. So, in this paper, we exposed the historical construction of the extension as a duty of the university, oriented to bind the community and university. Specifically, we focused on the (lack of) promotion of extension within the Law School which carried the experience. Then, we present some challenges, limits, and opportunities observed throughout the dictation of the subject. Also, we take some evaluations from students who took the course.
