his article addresses the rights of nature within the socio-ecological conflicts of the Paraná Delta Argentina and the Mar Menor in Spain, highlighting their necessity and potential to generate significant changes in the legal treatment of the ecosocial crisis. In this sense, we analyze the elements of both cases that represent an alternative to the failings of traditional environmental law to address the new demands for justice that combat transnational extractivism and promote more inclusive approaches. Furthermore, this article points out how these cases drive a new ecocentric jurisprudence and generate greater awareness of the importance of protecting these ecosystems. It identifies common patterns between capital accumulation and ecosystem collapse observable in both cases. Finally, the ecology of law is discussed as a legal reaction to these ecological disasters, highlighting the democratization of law and the increase in legal actions brought by social mobilization.
