Currently, the mega alluvial fan of the Paraná River is a very significant region due to the heterogeneity of wetlands. Their origins, distribution, water damping and morphometric responses to local climatic variability are complex and diverse. Thus, the Paraná River migration is linked with the processes that originated the local watercourses and the disposition of large swamps. However, this is not the case with the sandy hill shallow lakes, where the studies are poor or the hypotheses are made according to their morphology, but they are not considered other processes such as the natural dynamics of the lagoons regarding to fluctuations in water levels. The aim of this paper is to contribute to knowledge about the origin processes of the sandy hill lagoons of the Parana mega alluvial fan through the dynamics of these water bodies. This paper shows that there is not only one original process, on the contrary, deflation, segmentation of small watercourses, pseukarst and interactions between them would be responsible for genesis, distribution, depth, and alignment of the shallow lakes.
