The article examines the housing crisis in the town of El Chaltén, in the context of transformations linked to post-tourism dynamics. This phenomenon, associated with amenity- and lifestyle-driven migration, has fueled rapid population growth and intensified pressure on urban land. At the same time, the expansion of tourism and growing real estate speculation have reduced the supply of long-term housing, affecting both permanent residents and seasonal workers. Drawing on a qualitative approach based on secondary sources, documentary analysis, and interviews, the study shows how the touristification of the territory can lead to socio-spatial exclusion, and it questions the long-term sustainability of the current tourism development model.
