A study of the physical and biotic subsystems, in the central region of the western slope of the Eastern Precordillera, was made to recognize potential threats of lobes or deposits of alluvial fans and its likely attenuation through the propagation of existing native vegetation. The geomorphological analysis presents numerous deposits with different types of dynamics and in different topographic positions, corresponding to sedimentary cycles that occurred during the late Cenozoic. The surveyed vegetation shows species and different types of vegetation in alluvial fans deposits, highlighting the predominance of Deuterocohnia longipetala (Baker) Mez.). The current and active deposits have a predominance of Bulnesia retama and Larrea divaricata while inactive have a domain of “chaguares” (Deuterocohnia longipetala). It is recommended the spread and revegetation with this plant into semi-active lobes deposits, due to its high resistance to xeric conditions and good ability of fixation and soil formation.
