In this paper we analyze the configuration of a political liturgy in the public interventions of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (CFK) during the commemorative events of the May Revolution, between 2008 and 2015. From the study of the audiovisual records of those celebrations, we seek to reconstruct the relations between a public ritual and the consolidation of Kirchnerism as an identity and of CFK as a political-party leader to the detriment of her status as a national leader. The analysis, which combines concepts of political anthropology and semiotic tools, has shown us that as Kirchnerism was defined as a political collective, the public exhibitions of the presidential leadership tended to adopt the form of what we here call "partisan ceremony".
