Entre madre e hija: Entregar y recibir un legado de mujer. A propósito de Orgullo (Manuel Mur Oti, 1955)

Abstract

Inserta en el campo de la historia del cine, la investigación general en la que se enmarca el presente trabajo examina una serie de representaciones de la maternidad durante el período clásico industrial en Argentina y España. Aquí se examina un tópico central para pensar la construcción de imaginarios de género como son los legados entre mujeres, y se lo estudia a partir del abordaje del largometraje español Orgullo (Mur Oti, 1955). Primeramente, se ubica la película en su contexto. Luego, se proponen dos metáforas de lectura para el análisis temático, visual y narrativo y, finalmente, prestando atención a la puesta en escena, se estudian las formas de afecto y poder que se despliegan entre madre e hija.Into the field of film history, the general research that frames this work examines a series of representations of motherhood during the classic industrial period in Argentina and Spain. This article examines a central topic to think about the construction of gender imaginaries such as maternal legacies, and we will study it from the approach of the Spanish film Orgullo (Mur Oti, 1955). First, the film is placed in its context. Then, two reading metaphors are proposed for the analysis; and finally, paying attention to the staging, will be studied the forms of affection and power that unfold between mother and daughter.
