The present work aims to analyze the conflicts between the two most important artisan groups of the Murcian textile industry, fullers and weavers, around the Corpus Christi procession. Both corporations compete to occupy the most prominent place among those who are destined to the pechero estate in the parade. The conflict was settled in the middle of the 15th century when the Council decided in favor of the fullers. We propose to investigate the content of this conflict. We will pay attention to its symbolic content, as the status of each corporation is at stake. We will also seek to integrate it into the general dynamics of conflict in the artisanal world, which far exceeds the religious elements.
