The first results of an in situ experiment developed in Lake Amalia, in the Tierra del Fuego steppe, are presented. These studies comprise the surveying and regular measurement of experimental tracks and graduated stakes. The aims are to explore the ability and possible movement trajectories of ungulate bone remains and monitor the erosion / accretion process in a dune, to approach the formation processes and the taphonomic history of the Amalia 6 surface site and its link to the site in stratigraphy Yowen Ko. It has been established that at least two of the contexts of Yowen Ko might have contributed to the archaeological component of Amalia 6.
