Thermodynamic Properties of Seawater for GAMS

Abstract

This library provides functions for calculating the thermodynamic properties of seawater in the General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) equation-oriented optimization software. It is based on the equations proposed by Mostafa H. Sharqawy et al. (https://www.technologyreview.com/2024/01/04/1083981/sea-sun-drink/). The properties that can be calculated are Enthalpy, Entropy, Density, Vapor pressure and Boiling point elevation. The library is implemented in C programming language and all its functions include their corresponding analytical gradient and Hessian matrix. To include it in a GAMS model, the $funcLibIn command must be used (see GAMS help).
