The aim of this work was the design of a methodology of estimation and mapping of aboveground woody biomass (AGB). That included information of remote sensing (reflectance), field radiometric (reflectance) and structural measurements of the vegetation (biomass), registered for identical date and place. The studied environments were: Chaco, Selva and shurblands of Lerma's Valley (Salta). The transformations realized to the information obtained (indexes of vegetation), allowed to find the model with better adjustment, which includes the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) of field and of satellite. This model shows values of 0 to 200 t/ha of biomass for the Valley, with the major surface in the category from 60 to 130 t/ha of biomass. New samplings are recommended to improve the model achieved from the experimental plots, and to estimate the biomass of Lerma's Valley with major precision.
