Physics is a theoretical-experimental science, so it makes sense that both aspects should be included in the teaching process. Science education should not be reduced to a succession of models, theories and laws, but should reflect on the implications of scientific activity and the production of scientific knowledge. On that basis, this article presents an integrated proposal for the study of scientific experimental practice, analysing the historical development of each experiment, and reenvisioning scientific practice from an epistemological perspective. The analysis of each experiment highlighted the obstacles to understanding of the topics and the aspects requiring more attention. The results showed that activities that sought to integrate epistemological content were valued positively by students.
