The change in land use and occupation in the pampas has increased erosion in the region. This problem evidence the need to implement integrated programs for management and soil conservation, using the watershed as the unit of study, to reverse the increase in hydric erosion and the consequent loss of production. This paper analyzes the pattern of rainfall distribution in the El Pescado creek watershed (province of Buenos Aires, Argentina) and its climatic aggressiveness, calculated according to a set of indexes. Geostatistical methods were used to obtain the regionalization of the indexes, and from these, we analyzed the differences in spatial and temporal distribution. The temporal analysis showed a change in the trend and intensity of annual rainfall, besides identifying a spatio-temporal change of the rainfall concentration. This phenomenon is an indicator of the aggressiveness of rainfall and is directly related to the amount of rain precipitated in the same period. The impact of this change altered the availability of surface water in the watershed under study.
