The article aims to analyze the configurations of the current agrarian question in Santiago del Estero, investigating the conflicts linked to the expansion of capital in the countryside. It will also address the multiple responses put in place by family farmers in the face of dispossession processes. In this direction, we present three cases. The first is in Figueroa, a rural dry land area, where an agribusiness company threatens to evict peasant families, which organized themselves to resist, building a community livestock enclosure. The second territorial conflict took place in Robles and illustrates of the intensification of land conflicts in the central irrigation zone, associated with tourism and real estate developments. The third case shows the impact of the agrarian issue in the capital city, where there are processes of dispossession (because of the displacement of the rural population to peri-urban areas) and relocation of the population due to urban development projects. Faced with this situation, many families in poor neighborhoods have developed community vegetable garden. In a context of marginalization, these three emerging experiences seek to continue working the land, diversify income, strengthen organizations and care for the environment.
