Hacia una definición de la consagración estatal

Abstract

La consagración supone una operación básica de la capacidad simbólica del Estado. Sin embargo, a pesar de que ha sido frecuentemente analizada, resulta difícil de definir. El artículo avanza provisoriamente en una definición a través de la discusión de tres herramientas analíticas que remiten a distintos campos disciplinares y antecedentes teóricos. Primero, se retoma la noción de performatividad, identificando al nivel enunciativo como aquel en que puede reconocerse los efectos de la consagración estatal. Segundo, se discute la noción de abstracción real, en tanto herramienta a través de la que comprender la circulación de sentidos. Tercero, se regresa sobre la distinción entre sagrado y profano, proponiendo entender a la consagración estatal como homología estructural.Consecration represents a basic operation of the symbolic capacity of the State. However, even having been frequently analysed, it is difficult to define. The article advances on a provisional definition through the discussion of three analytic tools, which refer to different disciplinary fields and theoretical frames. First, the notion of performativity is considered, identifying the enunciation level as the one in which it is possible to acknowledge the effects of state’s consecration. Second, he notion of real abstraction is discussed, as a way to comprehend the circulation of meaning. Third, the article reconsiders the distinction between sacred and profane, proposing a definition of state consecration as structural homology.
