This work addresses a corpus of 39 articles published in El Monitor de la Educación Común magazine, with the aim of trailing the peculiarities the expression “Debilitated Child” assumed at the beginning of the twentieth century. This concept was disseminated in Argentina during that period, however, there was no agreement about it meaning or it clinical characteristics. Into the theoretical framework of M. Foucault, the goal is to draw a map of the strategies of administration of subjects - bodies inside this term. As main thesis, we point that “debilitated children” notion updates a strategy which purpose is to make the children bodies become productive, and no just create “future” workers. Moreover, that savoir-pouvoir relations cannot be read simply as inside the norm-outside the norm. To the contrary, this study pretends to show how the normalization is a technology that has multiple domains, and is able to act at multiple levels.
