This paper discuss about the relationships we build with “others” in the fieldwork and the production of knowledge in this context. Since rereading field notes from the ethnographic experience of the author in two different spaces, we depict two situations to analyze the ethical dimension that goes through and reveal the unsaid in the manuals and methodology texts in Social Sciences as well as in the writings of those working in the field themselves. Thus it seeks to not only questioning the ethnographic fieldwork, but also any work involving a link to an “other” more or less close to “us”.
