Políticas descentralizadoras en Zama (2017) de Lucrecia Martel

Abstract

En este artículo, pondré en diálogo la película Zama de Lucrecia Martel con la novela homónima del escritor Antonio Di Benedetto. Como punto de partida, observaré un gesto descentralizador en la película Zama, que ya estaba presente en la novela de Di Benedetto, en relación al campo cultural argentino. Para indagar en esta propuesta, me detendré en dos mecanismos constantes del film y en sus relaciones con la novela: en primer lugar, el trabajo con las voces y lo oral; en segundo lugar, el diseño meticuloso de un nuevo espacio cinematográfico.In this article, I will focus on the analysis ofthe film Zamaby Lucrecia Martel,and I will put it in dialogue with the homonymous novel by the writer Antonio Di Benedetto. As a starting point, I will observe a decentralizing gesture in the film Zama, which was already present in Di Benedetto's novel, in relation to the Argentine cultural field. To investigate this proposal, I will focus on three constant mechanisms of the film and its relations with the novel: first, the work with voices and orality; then,the meticulous design of a new cinematographic space.
