Thermodynamic Properties of the Ammonia-Water mixture using Rattner and Garimella equations for GAMS

Abstract

Dynamic link library with functions for calculating the thermodynamic properties of an Ammonia-Water mixture in the GAMS (General Algebraic Modeling System) equation-oriented optimization software. The library is based on the equations proposed by Rattner and Garimella. The properties that can be calculated are the enthalpy, entropy and density of a mixture and the chemical potential of each component in the mixture. Each function has two versions, one for the vapor phase and one for the liquid phase. The library was implemented in the C programming language and all its functions include their corresponding analytical gradient and Hessian matrix. It must be included using the $funcLibIn command (see GAMS help).
