In Argentina, trans individuals can access legal gender recognition and body modification technologies without requiring pathologizing diagnoses or legal authorizations. However, the full exercise of their right to health remains obstructed by various barriers. This article presents a nationwide quantitative study (n=522) conducted among transgender youth aged 16 to 29. We examine access to healthcare and body modification technologies in relation to certain dimensions such as gender identity, legal gender registration, expulsion from the family home and involvement in sexual work/prostitution.
