The aim of this paper is to analyse eight distal-end flakers from Oso Marino Bay, located in the North Coast of Santa Cruz (NCSC). The pieces, made on bone, were recovered in stratigraphy (Cueva del Negro site) and on surface (Playa El Negro site). The morphological characterization of each of these artifacts, the bone-support analysis, and the anthropic evidences, were realized to interpret the manufacture technologies. The main objective was to identify similarities and differences between inland and coastal flakers, in order to establish likely trends in morphological variation, manufacture technology, etc. In this regard we compared these pieces from NCSC and those recovered in Patagonia from Middle and Late Holocene sites. At last, we’ll discuss a correlation between the flakers and the guanaco (Lama guanicoe) exploitation.
