Walter Benjamin has provided us with creative semantics and practice dealing with experience and memory. Both take on particular characteristics in his work, which distinguishes them from other neighboring concepts and experiences. Starting with the question on their role in education, this essay approaches them, first, taking into account the concept of memory in relation to experience and the practice of remembrance. In the second place, we will explain their relationship to narration, starting with images or notions, which mean for Benjamin a relation to an interruption of time and a surprising entry of aspects related to religious heritage. Thirdly, we will go back to Benjamin´s interest in small objects, which spur experience towards remembrance. Finally, in conclusion, we will propose some fundamental relationships between these three moments and education.
