The article discusses in the film Rosa Patria (2009) by Santiago Loza two issues related to the presentation of the Gay Liberation Front’s files and the Nestor Perlongher’s militancy. The processing of documents as «physical» evidence _ narrated history leads to a theatrical staging of both files as testimonials, undertaken under the metaphor of «talking bust». The theatrical perspective is reinforced, in turn, with the intrusion of acted scenes, pictures of a memory imagined by the director. The coalescence of these images of the past in the present narrative is read from the theoretical contributions of Georges Didi-Huberman concerning the survival of the images as a way to convey a political resistance memory without heroics or museification.
