In this paper we present the diversity and variability of thematic repertoire, visual resources and expressive media selected for the deployment of rock manifestations in the region of Fiambalá (Catamarca). We begin to delineate the plastic languages that circulated, have endured or changed between the 400 and 1550 A.D. We analyze a sample composed of 420 rock engravings resulting of the survey of five different locations associated with natural paths connecting different altitudes within the region and dissociated from the places of residence, both of the living and of the dead (villages, posts or burials). In this direction we: (i) consider the characteristics of expressive media, evaluating their dimensions and different visualization conditions, (ii) define thematic repertoire deployed on them and (iii) analyze the visual resources used on its production through statistical multivariate methods.
