The orders Scorpiones, Opiliones and Pseudoscorpiones (Arachnida) are mesodiverse groups of arachnids that represent an important part of the epigean arthropod fauna. However, they play a very important role in food chains as predators, but are often poorly known. This work contributes to provide new information on the local diversity of Scorpiones, Opiliones and Pseudoscorpiones from the locality of Capayán, Catamarca Province, Argentina. A sampling was carried out in the riparian forest and surrounding areas of El Simbolar stream. The specimens collected were identified to species level when possible, and the abundance and diversity of each group were analyzed. The results showed that the area hosts a representative assemblage of arachnids, highlighting the importance of riparian environments for the conservation of local biodiversity.
